The Masai Mara Horse Riding Safari, Kenya

8 Days / 7 Nights / 8 Days on horseback

An unrivaled mobile horseback safari amongst big game!

Overview

Overview:

Perhaps the most exciting riding safari in Africa! ....

Think about a perfect Horse Riding Safari experience and you will probably end up imagining a trip to Masai Mara in Kenya. This world-renowned national reserve is not only Kenya’s biggest pride, but is also one of the most beautiful places in the world. Expect to ride in vast grasslands where more than 1 million zebras and wildebeest roam freely.

Riding up close to elephant, lion and buffalo, or galloping with wildebeest and zebra are life changing experiences.  If you are a rider, there is simply no better way to see Kenya than from the back of a well schooled and fit horse.

We ride across the Masai Mara, choosing the best routes over 8 days. With a traditional mobile tented safari camp that moves with us, supported by a lorry and Land Rovers, this is the epitome of what a true 'safari' is all about. Wildlife is plentiful in all the areas that we ride and your guides highly knowledgeable and conversant with the habits and likely reactions of the wildlife.

With outstanding game viewing from horseback and superb riding country, the Mara exceeds all expectations. This is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular riding safaris in the world. With 4 different camp locations you will literally ride from one side of the Masai Mara to the other, covering over 250km. The Mara hosts an abundance of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, giraffe and zebra, as well as huge numbers of plains game and birdlife.

It is simple; there is no better way to see wildlife if you are an enthusiastic rider than from the back of a horse rather than sitting in a safari vehicle. If seeing wildlife in Africa is on top of your bucket list than chase that dream, make it happen... and come and ride with us in the Masai Mara!

The Masai Mara is fantastic all year around. But we do not operate in April/May and in November as these are rainy season months. If you want to see the Serengeti-Masai Mara migration then the best months are July to October. However, there are large herds of resident wildlife that are around all year.
